The advantages of LED digital virtual studios
TYPICAL VIRTUAL PRODUCTION APPLICATIONS
LED VOLUME
The LED volume is suitable for multi-disciplinary productions. However, it has been specifically designed to shoot virtual backgrounds for film, TV drama and commercial productions.
xR stage
The xR stage immerses talent and performers in virtual environments where they can see and interact with the video content in real-time, ideal for virtual conferences, corporate events and music videos. It also suitable for music performances, keynote speeches, hybrid events and corporate presentations.

KEY FACTORS OF VIRTUAL PRODUCTION
In the virtual production LED solution, there are nine key factors that directly affect the quality of the shooting effect. Absen is committed to helping customers deliver better productions. From the perspective of affecting the production results of virtual shooting, we provide customers with the best quality solutions.Color reproduction
The accurate color reproduction of the LED display is an important factor affecting the shooting effect. Accurately restore the color of the original image, which can help the production more accurately convey the intention and point of view, and render the scene and emotion.
Absen can provide LED display products with high color reproduction, which automatically match the color of the source image. Highly reproduce natural scenes and achieve high-fidelity colors.
Reduce reflection
When surfaces reflect light, they will cause a mirror effect on the LED display, affecting film production.
Absen’s virtual production solutions have an anti-reflective treatment on the LED surface which ensures that the LED display doesn’t experience glare under intense light and which makes the LED panel darker. Absen LED displays have better contrast, more realistic colors, and better shooting effects.
Reduce moiré-effect
The photoreceptors of cameras and other equipment are susceptible to highfrequency interference, which can result in colorful and irregularly-shaped streaks on the image when shooting.
Adjusting the shooting parameters such as focal length, angle, and position and using the Absen LED display mask with a special treatment can reduce moiré in the finished film and achieves realistic and immersive virtual studio effects.
Low latency+Genlock
Real-time low latency mode during virtual shooting brings a smoother visual effect. Genlock is used to lock the processor refresh to a camera's shutter to avoid the unsightly rolling black bars which is seen on video walls when using free-running systems, and it can provides a better on-camera performance.
Absen’s virtual production solutions achieve a minimum end to end latency of 1 frame, and provide a smoother and more connected display effects with Genlock.
HDR
HDR dynamic display can make final images more detailed and realistic, and color and brightness truer to life.
Absen’s virtual production solutions uses Brompton system to support HDR10, 10/12bit input, and 16bit output to better recreate the visual effects of the real environment.
16bit
Low display grayscale leads to uneven color rendering, and in low brightness conditions, a large area of detail loss.
Absen can provide up to 16bit grayscale LED displays, which better present image layers and details, and enhance low brightness and high grayscale effect.
Ultra-high refresh rate
A low display refresh rate will result in scanning lines and poor image quality.
Absen LED displays can support a high refresh rate of 7680Hz, providing better screen performance in the camera, and more accurately rendered images.
High frame rate
For e-sports, sports events, advertising, and other shooting scenarios, higher frame rates are generally required to better capture real-time action and improve visual smoothness. A high frame rate produces smoother images, prevents streaks, and reduces system latency.
Absen’s virtual production solutions support up to 250 frame per second transmission, making dynamic images more realistic and vivid.
DCI-P3 color gamut
The Color Gamut defines the range of colors that a LED display can produce so it is one of the most important defining visual characteristic of LED display.
Absen LED displays support up to 98.2% DCI-P3, enabling more accurate and realistic representation of natural colors.
