The sports venue has chosen Absen LED technology to deliver content and enhance the overall fan experience. Absen provided a complete LED display solution including two score boards and a center-hung LED display which consists of eight individual video screens in the main arena, and another score board in the training area of the facility.

“The Crystal Ice Arena is one of the host sports venues of Winter Universiade 2019 and Absen was involved in the integrated AV system design of this facility from the very beginning”, said Sasha Liu, the Absen sales director in charge of CIS market, “it has been a great experience on a stadium project. The configuration of the center-hung LED display features four 5.25X3m main screens and another four 2.25X3m screens which can be raised and lowered on an Absen custom hoist system. During the event, the four larger screens will mainly highlight live video and instant replays of the competitions and the smaller ones present the team and scoring information.

The whole center-hung LED system is capable of playing various content like graphics, animations and sponsor advertisements and beyond. High level of contrast ratio and fresh rate ensures exceptional visual performance even on cameras.

To enable each and every spectator not to miss any match information, two 6 X3.75m HD score boards were mounted on the walls behind the sitting area at the two ends of the court, showing up-to-minute statistics and notices etc. Another 6 X3.75m video board installed in the training area is complementary to delivering match information and public messages etc.
